Below is a list of bands I would want my magazine to include. A problem I face though, is choosing which bands, as there are different genres, due to the fact I like a lot of different music, from different times. I also like artists such as Metallica and Black Sabbath, but I'm trying to narrow the genres down.
30 Seconds To Mars You Me At Six My Chemical Romance
Sex Pistols Nirvana HIM
Green Day The Used Red Hot Chili Peppers
The Cure CKY Silverstein
The Smiths The Ramones Bob Dylan
Jimi Hendrix Jeff Buckley The Clash
The Jam Pink Floyd Guns N' Roses
The White Stripes The Stranglers Adam and the Ants
System of a Down The Beatles A Day To Remember
Ella, you can name drop these bands in your magazine but you are going to need to invent a band for your magazine as you're going to need to take photos and invent an interview.
ReplyDeleteStylistically that is quite a spread of bands but certain songs by them will link (Helter Skelter by the Beatles for example is very heavy for the beatles, as is eternal life by Jeff Buckley, Knockin' on Heavens door by Dylan links to GnR, How Soon Is Now by the Smiths etc. The Ramones did baby I love you for heavens sake) so they could be mentioned in the interview as inspiration for your fictional band.
Yeah I know, did I not mention that I was thinking of Frozen Embryos for the band name?
ReplyDeleteOkey pokey.. better jot all of this down. Sad face.
Ella, I would think again about Frozen Embryos as a band name, it's a tad emotive and unlikely to appeal to a broad audience. The band names above are fairly banal (with the exception of the Stranglers and Green Day), you can create a band and album without thinking by using wikipedias random page generator. Go to “Wikipedia.” Hit “random” and the first article you get is the name of your band. Then go to “Random Quotations” (on random quotes web page) and the last four or five words of the very last quote of the page is the title of your first album.
ReplyDeleteI just got 'Love The Sinner' - 'Interesting people are missing'.
